\n\nPathology Assistant Qualifications\n

\n
• At least 2 years of experience as a Pathology Assistant in a hospital or clinical laboratory\n
• Expertise in specimen accessioning, labeling, and grossing\n
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills\n
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
• Commitment to laboratory safety, compliance, and hospital policies\n

\n\nPathology Assistant Responsibilities\n

\n
• Maintain accurate accession records and ensure proper specimen labeling and fixation\n
• Perform grossing and detailed dissections for surgical pathology specimens\n
• Enhance laboratory efficiency through effective workflow coordination\n
• Verify specimen receipt and integrity; collaborate with clerical and medical staff\n
• Conduct quality audits and maintain a clean, sterile laboratory environment\n
• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment\n
• Support staffing needs across all shifts, including weekends and holidays\n
• Communicate professionally with medical staff, hospital personnel, and supervisors\n
• Comply with all hospital and laboratory safety requirements and healthcare regulations\n
• Contribute to departmental improvements and perform additional duties as assigned\n
