Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist with study level statistical related activities, particularly to prepare mock tables/figures/listings, and generate statistical analyses for clinical studies.

• Learn the role of a statistician and statistical analyses by involving in the following activities under the supervising of mentors:
• Understand clinical study designs and statistical analysis requirements by reading protocols and discussing with the mentors.
• Review case report forms and understand how clinical data are collected.
• Understand the components of a statistical analysis plan and assist with the preparation of mock tables, figures, and listings.
• Review programming specifications and understand the CDISC compliant SDTM and ADaM datasets.
• Assist with statistical analyses and conduct programming work.
• Learn to make statistical results interpretation.
• Learn the sample size and power calculation.
• Learn the randomization schedule generation

Education

• Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited undergraduate or Masters/PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or science-related fields.

Experience

• Not required.

Skills

• Good understanding in statistical concepts and methods
• Exposure to one or more data analysis packages or databases, e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, Python, VBA, SQL.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical

• Must be able to work in an office environment, which has minimal noise conditions.
• Ability to stand or sit for most of the work day.
• Must be able to perform some activities with repetitive motion, such as keyboarding.
