Senior Golang Engineer (Kubernetes Services) W2 Contract Location: Boulder, CO - Hybrid Role Salary Range: $124,800 - $145,600 per year Requirements and Qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 7+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment Experience and skills in a large services-based environment developing client-side and backend services in Golang Experience delivering Kubernetes client-side and backend services Proven experience building and operating large-scale, highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems Excellent understanding of operating systems concepts, including multi-threading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization (CNCF Kubernetes Developer or equivalent) Experience with Open Source Observability Stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus Experience with Spinnaker Knowledge of securing APIs, including input validation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms for RESTful and gRPC APIs Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with systems, including the ability to configure and troubleshoot system initialization processes Experience with developing Kubernetes extension services Experience with Swift is a big plus Understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure communication channels Familiarity with incident response processes and the ability to respond to security incidents effectively Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols for securing data, including TLS/SSL, digital signatures, hashing, and encryption Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and other identity management protocols Experience with Cockroach DB and PostgreSQL Kubernetes Developer Certification Bayside Solutions, Inc. is not able to sponsor any candidates at this time.
