About The Opportunity

The Device Software team owns all software running on the Orb, including biometric imaging, on-device fraud detection, and a security-hardened operating system. The team supports manufacturing, test automation, and hardware bring-up. All core software is written in Rust and runs in a custom GNU/Linux OS on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. In this role you will advance the Orbs software to new levels of scale, decentralization, and performance by porting software to Android-based systems, optimizing image capture and processing, and supporting software verifiability. Your work will be regularly deployed to the global fleet of Orbs used by millions worldwide, scaling the World network to billions.

About You

  • 5+ years experience in systems programming, robotics, IoT devices, or related fields.
  • Experience shipping software to large fleets of devices.
  • Experience with building AOSP based devices and integrating hardware platform specific HALs.
  • Experience building security-critical applications.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Mission-driven and team-oriented mindset.

Pay Transparency Statement (for CA And NY Based Roles)

The reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $220,000 - $270,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, life insurance, flexible time off, commuter benefits, professional development stipend and more.
