Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in the Virginia Beach area, this contract opportunity is for a School Psychologist serving elementary school students. The assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through June 16, 2026, within Chesapeake Public Schools. The position involves working full or part-time hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with caseload details currently under review but focused specifically on elementary age groups. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer psychological assessments to elementary students
  • Attend and actively participate in ARD, re-evaluation, and IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines

Qualifications:

  • State licensure as a School Psychologist is required
  • Active Department of Education certification is necessary
  • Experience levels from entry-level to seasoned professionals with up to 10+ years are welcome
  • Ability to work solely onsite; no remote or hybrid arrangements available
