Registered RN NICU Transport Flight

Responsibilities Provide advanced life support for critically ill/injured patients at the scene and during transport as part of the air transport team. * Respond to calls via flight, evaluate the scene of an accident and notify appropriate authorities/request additional assistance as required. * Perform patient assessment and triage; provide advanced life support and/or emergency care as needed before and during transport. * Contact receiving medical personnel, report observations and follow directives. * Determine appropriate mode of transport and assist with locating and establishing a landing zone for the aircraft. Requirements / Certification / Registration: * Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required. * One or more of the following required: * Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of BLS Provider. * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Pediatric Advanced Life Support. * Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation certification. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Flight preferred. Education: * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Work Experience: * 3 years minimum ED or ICU experience; required for CAMTS accreditation.
