Lighting contractor located in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn is looking for an entry level 'recent college grad' to work in their Quoting/Estimating department. Work hand and hand with the project management and sales team while using your math, logic, and customer service skills. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their careers and gain valuable experience in a professional environment. The Recent Graduate will have the opportunity to learn how to estimate and quote projects for the design, manufacturing, and distribution of lighting fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Effectively read and evaluate architectural and electrical drawings
• Conduct a detailed takeoff of lighting structures as shown on the drawings
• Read and check lighting specifications to insure they are in sync with layout and application on drawings
• Interact with clients if inconsistencies in specifications are discovered
• Estimate lighting changes for bulletins/addendums on projects in progress
• Prepare bid packages based on customer's bill of material
• Collaborate with management/sales team on proposals

Qualifications

• Recent graduate
• Any experience with Estimating/Takeoffs, lighting, or reading schematics
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
