Owner Operator OTR Class A Driver at Clean Harbors summary:

The Owner Operator OTR Class A Driver is responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer units to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste across Northeast and Midwest routes. This role prioritizes health and safety compliance, proper load securing, vehicle placarding, and maintaining accurate trip and inspection reports. The position requires a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements and offers competitive compensation including hourly and mileage pay.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Linden, NJ! This route runs from Linden, NJ or Bristol, CT. to Cincinnati, OH or any other lanes in the Northeast and Midwest. and averages 2800-3000 miles per week. Should be flexible as per business requirement. Minimum 2 weeks out.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
