AmeriLife is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure DevOps Engineer Jira Administrator to support the modernization and automation of our software delivery pipeline. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps practices across our development and infrastructure teams, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure application deployments in a hybrid cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, along with experience administering tools like Jira and GitHub. This is a hybrid role based in Clearwater, Florida, offering flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, integrating automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA, cloud architects, and infrastructure teams to streamline application delivery.
• Manage Azure DevOps Projects, Service Connections, and Release Pipelines for multiple development teams.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Implement and manage Azure cloud environments for development, test, and production workloads.
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Drive DevSecOps practices by integrating security and compliance checks into the DevOps lifecycle.
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) where applicable.
• Administer and maintain GitHub repositories, permissions, integrations, and GitHub Actions workflows.
• Configure and support JIRA administration, including workflows, boards, fields, and integrations with development and DevOps tools.
• Contribute to DevOps governance policies, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps tools and services.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Solid understanding of Git version control and branching strategies.
• Strong familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• GitHub administration experience, including GitHub Actions, repository permissions, and security policies.
• JIRA administration experience, including custom workflows, boards, field configurations, and automation rules.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration.
• Exposure to application security tools (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk, or WhiteSource).
• Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Microsoft Certification in Azure DevOps (AZ-400) or related Azure credentials.
