QC Administrative Assistant / Submittal Clerk
Location: Norfolk, VA | Full-Time | Onsite | Federal Construction Project
Overview:
Butterfly Staffing is supporting a federal construction contractor in identifying a reliable QC Administrative Assistant/Submittal Clerk to join an upcoming project in Norfolk, VA. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting the Quality Control Manager by handling project documentation, submittals, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the QC Manager in organizing, processing, and maintaining submittal files
Prepare and publish reports, spreadsheets, and meeting minutes
Maintain well-organized documentation for quality assurance tracking
Ensure timely filing of submittals and project documents per contract requirements
Support general administrative tasks that do not interfere with core duties
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in construction admin or document control
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
Familiarity with construction submittals and QC documentation preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field office environment
Certifications (Preferred, Not Required)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
DBIDS credential or ability to obtain base access
