Overview
Provides American Heart Association CPR training to corporate clients, community members, professionals and employees in the CentraState Healthcare System service area.
Responsibilities
Utilizes effective teaching strategies and materials to present materials in a clear, concise, appropriate manner.
Adheres to the standards and protocols of ALS training as established by the American Heart Association.
Prepares materials for class as appropriate and follows AHA and department guidelines for cleaning, decontamination and storage of equipment upon class completion.
Demonstrates flexibility in teaching groups of various age levels and learning abilities.
Observe students during instruction and practices and corrects improper CPR techniques as indicated.
Grades written exams according to established AHA standards.
Completes all course records, rosters and related paperwork in a timely, complete manner.
Ensures students follow proper techniques for prevention and control of infection.
Provides appropriate student remediation training as deemed necessary.
Provides opportunity for participants to evaluate program content.
Provides feedback to the coordinator and recommends methods to improve services.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalency with additional training in the healthcare field.
Current certified American Heart Association CPR Instructor.
Minimum of two years experience as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

Compensation
Compensation Range: $19.50 - $31.20 per hour
The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.
Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
The benefits outlined also reflect CSHS' policy at the time of posting. Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs.
