The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that foster a campus culture embracing diversity and inclusion. This includes serving as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on institutional policy, and ensuring that the commitment to diversity is evident at all levels. The role involves providing leadership for the college's diversity strategic plan, promoting a culture of student learning and development, and creating and leading a College Diversity Council. The Chief Diversity Officer will also be involved in DEI programming, training, and workshops for all stakeholders, as well as expanding campus diversity and inclusion programming to ensure broad participation. A leadership role with experience as a direct supervisor is also desirable. The Chief Diversity Officer will be expected to work with various campus stakeholders, including academic affairs and faculty members, to enhance the inclusive co-curricular learning environment and to create extended community partnerships that support the needs of diverse students.
