• Schedule: Full Time Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
• Hospital: Ascension St. John Medical Center
• Location: Tulsa, OK

*Call required. Must be able to work occasional night, weekend, or holiday.

Responsibilities

Perform duties such as IV insertion, assistance with nerve blocks and creation of line kits.

• Equipment maintenance and servicing such as cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, calibrating and testing, troubleshooting, requisitioning and recording of inspections and maintenance.
• Operate a variety of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic equipment used to monitor, evaluate and manage the patient undergoing anesthesia (ex. run iStat for critical patients during emergencies).
• Prepare anesthesia IV fluids, inserts IVs, and sets up arterial lines and invasive monitoring.
• Assist the Anesthesiologist with peripheral nerve blocks and emergencies.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Certified Anesthesia Technologist credentialed from the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists (ASATT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
