Job Description

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources.
  • Conduct onboarding training for new hires, covering essential warehouse operations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Provide ongoing training to current staff to ensure they are up to date with best practices and new procedures.
  • Educate staff on safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct safety drills and emergency response training sessions.
  • Train staff on the proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and inventory management systems.
  • Ensure employees understand the workflow and processes for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products.
  • Assess trainees' performance during and after training sessions.
  • Provide feedback and additional coaching to ensure competency.
  • Maintain training records and report on training activities and outcomes.
  • Work closely with warehouse supervisors and managers to identify training needs and develop relevant programs.
  • Communicate effectively with trainees, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to assess and address training needs effectively.
  • Relevant certifications in warehouse operations, safety training, or instructional design are advantageous.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a warehouse trainer or in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
  • The role may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules.
  • The position is primarily based in a warehouse setting, with occasional travel to other company locations for training purposes.
