In this fast-paced job you will be responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently pulling orders in our warehouse. You will also palletize the orders, shrink wrap the pallets and place them in the assigned locationsWhy work at UNFI?$21.75/HR + Productivity IncentivesWeekly paychecksIncentive pay earn more money for exceeding productivity goalsPTO after 90 days of employmentMedical, dental and vision benefits after 30 days of employmentEven more perks: 401K with company match, tuition reimbursement, and access to shop at our associate Co-Op storeSchedules Available:4-day work schedule starting at 9:00 AM - work completionMultiple schedulesavailable **One weekend day required**Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Selects various grocery, perishable, frozen or repack products from warehouse stockReports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocksTransports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jackResponsibilities include maintaining order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safetyAssists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of division personnelJob Requirements:Experience in a large warehouse/distribution companyExperience with Walkie-Riders or reach liftsAbility to safely lift up to 100 pounds continuously as well as pick with a high degree of accuracy and efficiencyMust be able to work in a range of temperatures from -10 to 90+Must be willing to work in grocery and cooler section, freezer is optionalGood judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately availablePhysical Environment/Demands:Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequentlyExposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service proceduresMust be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipmentRequires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
