Join Express Employment Professionals of Rancho Cucamonga as a Tsugami Swiss Turning Set-Up Specialist & Operator

If your best days are spent dialing in a Tsugami Swiss-type CNC lathe, chasing microns, and perfecting first articles, you’ll fit right in. We’re seeking a seasoned machinist who can own both set-up and production on Tsugami Swiss platforms and keep parts within tight tolerances from first piece to last.

Pay: Starting at $30+/hour , commensurate with experience and technical depth.

You’ll start by reviewing work orders and blueprints, translating GD&T into a setup strategy. You’ll load bar stock or raw material, square away tooling, set offsets, and bring the machine up to speed. First-article inspection follows—micrometers, calipers, gauges in hand—before greenlighting production. Throughout the run, you’ll monitor finishes, adjust offsets, make program tweaks, and keep detailed records. When issues arise, you’ll collaborate with Quality Control and Engineering to troubleshoot, then mentor junior operators to elevate the team.

• Set up Tsugami Swiss-type CNC lathes to blueprint, work order, and technical drawing requirements.
• Run production to tight tolerances and high cosmetic/quality standards.
• Load materials, optimize feeds/speeds, and continuously monitor operations to minimize defects and downtime.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges , and related metrology tools.
• Make on-the-fly program edits and apply tool/wear offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Change tooling and perform minor preventive maintenance to keep machines production-ready.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area aligned with company safety standards.
• Record production counts, scrap, downtime, and any quality concerns with accuracy.
• Work closely with Quality Control and Engineering to resolve issues quickly.
• Train and mentor junior operators as needed.

• 3+ years of direct Tsugami Swiss setup/operation required; 5+ years strongly preferred.
• Expert blueprint reading and solid GD&T interpretation.
• Proficiency with precision measurement and inspection methods.
• Confidence making program edits and tool offsets.
• Mechanical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
