GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Telemetry RN (with Med-Surg float)
• Shift: 3x12-hour Days | 07:00 – 19:30
• Start Date: 11/3 – HARD START (no flexibility)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: May float to Med-Surg unit
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

• Minimum Experience:
  • 3 years total nursing experience
  • 2 years Telemetry experience required
  • Must be able to read cardiac strips
  • Experience with 1:5 med-surg nurse-to-patient ratios
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted!
• References: Must include level 4–5 ratings
• Competency Requirements:
  • Medical-Surgical and Telemetry skills rated 3 or greater

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Certification

• Unit Type: Telemetry
• Bed Count: 36 beds
• Average Census: 36
• Patient Population: Adolescents through Geriatrics

• Cardiac monitor interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• On-unit and remote telemetry monitoring
• Emergency response for cardiac conditions

• Post-Cardiac Angiogram care
• Post-MI care
• Pre/Post-Cardiac Catheterization
• Pre/Post-Cardiac Surgery

• Starting IVs
• Central line care/management
• PICC line management
• Blood product administration

• Heparin protocol management
• Management (non-titrating) of:
  • Cardiac drips
  • Vasoactive drips

• Tracheostomy management
• Chronic/long-term ventilated patient care
• Chest tube (Emerson/Pleuravac) management
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• CPAP/BiPAP (external)
• Non-invasive airway management
• Nasal cannula and oxygen mask use
