\n\nICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – Registered Nurse jobs\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience – critical care nurse experience\n
• Critical Care RN certification preferred\n
• Ability to work effectively in a rural hospital healthcare setting\n
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Influenza recommended)\n
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening\n

\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver excellent patient care and customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers\n
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and data analysis\n
• Implement nursing interventions according to care plans and physician orders\n
• Conduct hourly rounds using the 4 P’s approach\n
• Promote a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients and families\n
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff\n
• Provide standard care for central lines, chest tubes, catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and high fall-risk patients\n
• Precept and mentor new employees, supporting department growth and evidence-based practices\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development through goal setting and educational opportunities\n
• Ensure proper storage and safety of medications\n
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned\n
