About the Role:
The Training Audio/Video Producer Intern will report into the Training & Outreach Project Manager, working on in-house production of on-demand training courses. The work will support peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and the intern will work closely with the team's Project Manager and other colleagues to produce engaging and instructive multimedia training content. Training may include tutorials for our internal newsroom tools, skills-focused how-to training videos for reporters and editors or audio conversations that share coverage best practices.
This role is a hybrid, based in our New York City office.
You Will:
- Be part of shaping the team's on-demand learning strategy and the look and feel of our virtual training offerings
- Work on video and audio production workflow from start to finish, in collaboration with the Training & Outreach Project Manager and the rest of the Culture, Training & Outreach team
- Record and edit weekly live webinars for the team
You Have:
- Completed at least two years of school towards your Bachelor's Degree
- Experience producing video and audio
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder) or other video editing software, familiarity with audio programs like iZotope and/or Logic
- Familiarity with filming in a studio environment
- Ability to shoot, edit and add graphics fast
- Ability to understand and visually translate complex topics
- Strong organizational skills with asset management and file storage
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and service service-focused attitude
- Experience working at a news organization and with journalists is a plus, but not required
