Senior Traffic Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to provide solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. In this role you would be responsible for leading and managing traffic engineering activities. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating traffic studies, and providing expert guidance on other Rani Engineering transportation infrastructure projects. This role requires you to work collaboratively with other engineers and professionals in other disciplines to establish a cohesive, integrated system. A desire to learn and tackle complex challenges is a must!

This position can work in our headquarters located in Minneapolis, Minnesota; arrange a hybrid work arrangement allowing for partial home office workdays; or work remotely within the Minnesota state lines.

Here's what you’ll have –

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning with proven project management expertise
• Knowledge of design techniques for developing solutions for engineering problems.
• Experience with developing traffic management and control plans, detours, signing, marking, and traffic studies for DOTs, Counties, and cities.
• Familiarity with MnDOT design standards
• Experienced with traffic safety analysis
• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, traffic modeling software, and transportation planning methodologies
• Proficient with Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS software. Vissim modeling is a plus

Ideally you’ll also have –

• Knowledge of ITS, traffic signals
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Master’s degree
