Our client,pharmacuetical industry is seeking a Senior Safety & Health Manager to join their team.

Job Title: Senior Safety & Health Manager

Location: Pennsville NJ

 

SUMMARY:
The incumbent is responsible for implementing the site’s safety, health, risk management and associated programs to achieve compliance with applicable regulations and working towards continuously improving the work environment to eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :
-Manages the OSHA PSM program
-Manages the ChemStewards ä program.
-Participates in pre-startup safety reviews as requested by equipment owners.
-Manages S&H programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, DOT, NFPA,TCPA).
-Reviews Management of Change submittals for S&H requirements.
-Manages the Industrial Hygiene program.
-Manages the Accident / Incident investigation program.
-Manages all safety and health training.
-Manages the Emergency Response Team.
-Audits S&H and associated programs for compliance and report findings to departmental managers.
-Manages MSDS Program.
-Manages the PPE and other safety-related equipment. 
-Adheres to a personal and departmental moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct that is in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct.
-Adheres to all applicable SHE and cGMP regulations.

SUPERVISION:
n/a.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA Degree in Safety & Health; Occupational Safety; or -Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field and 7+ years of experience in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is required
-Knowledge of the ChemStewards ä , OSHA VPP, ISO, or other management system a plus.
- CSP or CIH certification is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
-Must have superb communication skills (written and verbal).
-Must have good leadership skills.
-Must be very conscientious and detail-oriented.
-Must have excellent computer skills (MS Office). 
-Must be a team player.
-Must be a self-starter and initiator.
