PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Senior Quality Engineering Lead plays a crucial role in driving quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle within projects and agile delivery teams. This position requires technical expertise in quality engineering, leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to implement and maintain effective quality assurance and quality control processes enhancing software application reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate quality practices into sprints and project deliverables.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting career development. Develop and implement test strategies, including automation frameworks and quality metrics aligned with business goals. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, development, and operations teams to define quality standards and acceptance criteria. Proactively identify and mitigate quality risks throughout the development lifecycle; lead root cause analyses and implement preventative measures. Champion a culture of quality across the organization through education, advocacy, and shared accountability. Track and report on quality metrics and KPIs, delivering insights and improvement recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure comprehensive metric tracking across project and software development lifecycles (Agile backlog, sprints, QA/UAT, regression, release, post-release, and operational transition), with transparent access for all team members. Conduct quality health assessments to ensure projects meet established standards, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards. Support the Quality Engineering Center of Excellence (CoE) by contributing to best practice development, adoption, and continuous improvement. Travel required as necessary to meet business needs In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 5-years of experience in software quality engineering Demonstrated proficiency in applying software testing methodologies, utilizing testing tools, and adhering to industry best practices Proven experience applying performance, security, and reliability testing methodologies Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills with ability to solve new and complex problems quickly Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships Experience using tools to track and analyze quality assurance activities (e.g. ADO, ServiceNow, Jira, Power BI Reports).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Professional certification in quality engineering (e.g., ISTQB, CSQE) Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with containerization technologies Experienced in DevOps and Agile methodologies Experience with observability tools and practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, with a preference for low-code or no-code solutions Experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines Leadership, management, and/or project management experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Constellation
