What you will be doing in this role:

The Senior Motion Designer pushes the brand forward through the execution of motion design and editing work to produce a variety of animations, patient stories, campaign work, interactive elements, and more. Responsible as the primary motion graphics designer for marketing, advertising, and communications projects as well as the primary interaction designer for web and digital products. Brings stories and messages to life by combining motion graphics, animation, design and video into standout visual and media experiences that engage, excite and educate audiences. Ensures this body of work captures the distinct personality of the brand and helps drive more effective outcomes for the brand across digital projects:
  • Distills, decodes and deconstructs creative briefs into visual concepts. Generates and pitch great ideas/concepts that are on strategy and adhere to visual guidelines.
  • Collaborates with creative team to conceptualize and storyboard motion graphic projects that align with brand guidelines and project objectives. Designs, animates and creates standout design and animations across formats and platforms.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal and external partners to understand project goals, gather feedback, and incorporate revisions to achieve the desired creative vision.
  • Determines which media and design elements to use to support concepts and tell compelling stories. Independently implements approved concepts on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
  • Creates visually stunning motion graphics and animations for various digital media platforms. Uses video software to design and implement captivating motion graphics projects.
  • Incorporates typography, visual effects, and sound design to enhance motion graphic content. Adapts and optimizes motion graphics for different screen sizes and resolutions to ensure seamless playback on various devices.
  • Delivers high-quality designs and animations in numerous styles, showing options and alternatives. Manages workflow efficiently and takes responsibility for timing and delivery.
  • Demonstrates a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality motion graphic deliverables that meet client requirements and exceeds expectations.
  • Contributes to the creative process by bringing innovative ideas and creative solutions to the table, contributing to the overall success of the creative services team.
  • Demonstrates a learning mindset by staying updated with industry trends and best practices, continuously refining skills, exploring new techniques to push the boundaries of motion graphic design, sharing trends and formats with colleagues.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts, design, marketing, visual communications, visual effects or another relevant major is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience motion/video/editing experience in a high performing marketing operation, agency, design studio or related experience as well as a strong portfolio of sample projects.
