As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service to everyone on site. You will also be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to any security-related concerns or incidents. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment in accordance with client requirements.

• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid TSA issued TWIC is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
