Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 School Counselor position is available in Okeechobee, FL. This contract role offers the opportunity to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong counseling skills, a dedication to student success, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students K-12
• Support students with academic planning, career guidance, and personal issues
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to address student needs
• Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
• Develop and implement programs that promote student well-being
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Relevant counseling certification or licensure appropriate for K-12 education
• Experience working in school counseling or a similar counseling role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff
• Understanding of developmental stages and challenges faced by students
