Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Counselor to provide comprehensive support to students across grades K-12 in a dynamic school setting located in Mariposa, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong counseling skills tailored to the academic, social, and emotional needs of children and adolescents, fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid counseling certification or licensure applicable to K-12 education
• Experience working with diverse student populations in a school setting
• Strong understanding of developmental stages and challenges faced by children and teens
• Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and referral resources

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to support student well-being
• Developing intervention plans to address academic, behavioral, and social challenges
• Consulting with teachers and parents regarding student progress and concerns
• Facilitating workshops and programs that enhance student skills and resilience
• Assisting in crisis management and providing appropriate referrals
• Maintaining confidential records and complying with all relevant policies and regulations
