School-Based Pediatric Physical Therapist

POSITION TYPE: Physical Therapist

SETTING: School-Based, Pediatrics - Elementary

LOCATION: Mountain View, CA

SCHEDULE: Days, no weekends, follows school schedule

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated School-Based Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide skilled therapy services to students within school districts in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. This role involves delivering both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, as well as collaborating with teachers, parents, and other clinicians to create effective treatment plans and set milestone goals for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive evaluations and skilled physical therapy services to students in schools, both in-person and through virtual platforms when applicable.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and set achievable milestone goals.
• Implement therapy programs that help students improve mobility, function, and participation in the school environment.
• Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on student progress.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on student needs and therapy goals.

Requirements:

• Active California Physical Therapist license.
• Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to provide therapy in both in-person and virtual formats.
