Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring a direct hire Robotics Lab Project Manager to support AI robotics lab operations.

Job Title: Robotics Lab Project Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA 94110

Job Type: Permanent, FTE

Salary Range: $67,800 - $72,800

Overview:

The Project Manager will oversee the daily operations and management of the robotics lab. This role supports the robotic lab operators and robotic lab leads in ensuring the lab runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing daily lab operations, supervising staff, coordinating projects, and maintaining equipment. They will also develop and maintain lab policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, etc.

The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources and timelines, and ensure that milestones are met while fostering innovation and technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Assist with onboarding new lab members and training them on equipment and protocols.
• Coordinate regular maintenance, repairs, and calibration of hardware and software systems.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and adjust plans as necessary.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Team Coordination/Administration:

• Work closely with lab operators and lab leads to monitor all time keeping
• Review and verify timecards for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
• Review, audit, and correct timecard entries.
• Reconcile time and attendance data prior to payroll processing deadlines.

Lab Operations Support:

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the robotics lab environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and lab usage procedures.
• Oversee inventory and proper functioning of robotics equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ensure lab cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.

• Ability to have a flexible schedule covering multiple shifts
• Liaise with academic, industry, or government partners when applicable.
