Talking Book Publishers Inc. is a small nonprofit serving the Blind and Print disabled community. We have been making accessible audiobooks for over 60 years. We are currently looking for experienced audiobook narrator contractors who want to join our contractor roster to help us with our work.
We are looking for experienced narrators who have room in their project schedules to narrate for 6-30 hours per week. This contract is great for filling in the gaps of your other projects.
This contract is paid at $75.00pfh (Per Finished Hour rate, prorated to the minute). Depending on your skill, and accuracy your earning potential is in your hands.
You will be responsible on a per-project basis for the recording and narration of books and magazine articles of various lengths and complexity as projects become available. We are expecting clean raw audio, free from errors. We expect you to meet any agreed-upon deadlines for the narration and deadlines for returning any corrections that are required. We will need you to guarantee your work for 2 years. (**We are only looking for narration; these projects will not require you to perform any editing or mastering of the audio, as our technicians will handle that in-house.)

If you do not have audiobook narration experience, this position is not for you at this time. We are not looking to train audiobook narrators at this time, we are hoping to find seasoned, experienced narrators to join our roster.
