Job Summary

ASG is looking for a Purchasing Assistant in the Fort Wayne, IN office. In this position you will be responsible for the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create accurate and complete purchase order entries for all projects
  • Expedite and ensure materials are delivered
  • Responsible for vendor invoice reconciliation
  • Submit work order billings to ASG inhouse billing specialist
  • Utilize Accounting system to create Work Order Numbers
  • Notify Project Managers of job #'s created and filed on network
  • Process Direct Sales, small contracts and large contracts
  • Interact with Project Managers to submit billings in a timely fashion
  • Backup for the other office administrative assistants
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of office administrative experience
  • Must have proven experience in multi-tasking and doing several tasks at once - incoming calls, scheduling, internal personnel, emails, tracking information, etc.
  • Experience with AS400 is a plus
  • Must be self-started and able to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Reliability and longevity required
  • Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
