We're looking for an independent publisher with an entrepreneurial spirit to cover assigned teams through online articles, videos, audio, and social media for passionate fans. As a publisher, you'll create engaging content that highlights team performances, player profiles, game analyses, and fan experiences primarily through breaking news stories. Your role will involve breaking news, writing articles, managing social media platforms, and promoting your content to reach a wider audience. We're seeking someone with a passion for sports journalism, strong writing skills, social media savvy, and the ability to work independently and build a thriving business. The Arena Group’s expected pay range for this position is currently $5 to $10 per 1000 pageviews based on traffic source and what quarter the revenue is earned.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate one of the following team sites: Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, or Arizona Cardinals.

• Write breaking news stories covering your team.

• Create videos covering your team.

• Engage team fans through comments, community, and social media.

What You’ll Bring:

• Two to five years of experience covering a college or professional sports team.

• Excel in various types of storytelling (breaking news, analysis, rankings, predictions, grades, video, social, and audio).

• Have a knowledgeable understanding of NFL Football concepts and an ability to explain them to fans of different levels.

• Ability to write provocative headlines that adhere to SEO and Google Discover best practices.

• Demonstrate solid grammatical and spelling skills, as well as an understanding of AP style.

• An established LLC or the ability to create a new LLC is required for this role.
