Job Title: Accountant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in preparing monthly bank reconciliations for businesses, analyzing reports, and collaborating with the team on various accounting duties. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy of financial statements and help uncover discrepancies in financial reporting. You will also assist with recurring reporting, sales tax returns, and audit preparation for clients. You will support the business owner with any accounting projects as needed, including putting together financial statements for presentation to business owners. Responsibilities + Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for businesses. + Analyze financial reports and collaborate with the team on accounting duties. + Review and accurately adjust financial statements as needed. + Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reporting. + Assist with recurring reporting and sales tax returns. + Support audit preparation for clients. + Assist the owner with various accounting projects. + Compile financial statements for presentation to business owners. Essential Skills + 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, (preferably in public accounting) + Proficiency in bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. + Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and general ledger. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Orion and Sage is a plus but not required. Work Environment You will work in a small office environment, with a close-knit team of accountants. The atmosphere is laid-back yet focused on delivering exceptional service to clients. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of SIOUX FALLS, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
