Job Description

We are an Executive Search Firm working with our amazing client to find a highly motivated and experienced Professional Licensed Surveyor to join their team in Reno, NV. This is a very flexible/hybrid role, where you will enjoy working from home with the ability to also be in office. In this position, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and success of diverse projects by providing precise survey data and expertise. You will conduct field surveys, analyze data, and prepare deliverables while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

🔹 Conduct Precise Field Surveys – Use total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and other advanced equipment to map locations, boundaries, and site features.

🔹 Analyze & Document Data – Collect, interpret, and process survey data to create accurate maps, plats, and legal descriptions .

🔹 Research Property Records – Investigate property deeds, plats, and maps to establish legal boundaries and resolve discrepancies.

🔹 Collaborate with Experts – Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop survey plans and execute fieldwork efficiently.

🔹 Deliver High-Quality Reports – Prepare and submit survey reports, drawings, and legal descriptions in compliance with industry standards.

🔹 Maintain Equipment & Accuracy – Ensure all survey equipment is properly calibrated and maintained for precise measurements.

🔹 Engage with Stakeholders – Communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth operations.

🔹 Follow Safety & Compliance Standards – Adhere to company policies and safety regulations while conducting fieldwork.

REQUIREMENTS:

✔️ Licensed Professional Professional Surveyor (PS) license in Nevada required.

✔️ Technical Skills – At least 1 year of experience using AutoCAD; proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center is a plus.

✔️ Educational Background – High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in surveying or a related field is preferred.

✔️ Field Experience – Hands-on experience as a Field Surveyor , preferably in Reno or surrounding areas .

✔️ Surveying Expertise – Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

✔️ Reliable & Ready to Travel – A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for fieldwork.

✔️ Strong Problem-Solving & Communication – Ability to effectively communicate, stay organized, and troubleshoot challenges in the field.

✔️ Physical Readiness – Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
