Job Summary
PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION:
To define the utilization and training of non-clinical patient safety observers throughout the organization. The role of a non-clinical patient safety observer is to provide direct observation of an appropriate acuity of patient at all times. The non-clinical patient safety observer responsibilities are limited to observation and notification to clinical staff of changes in patient behavior warranting clinical staff assessment and/or intervention.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School or equivalent.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Prefer candidates furthering their education in direct patient care roles.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be comfortable utilizing computer for signing in and out and completing annual competencies.

• Previous patient environment exposure/experience preferable.
