Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician is accountable for performing delegated tasks and assisting nursing personnel within the Emergency Unit as well as functioning on the hospital floor in patient care delivery.

Education and/or Experience

A minimum of 6 months experience as a Patient Care Tech/CNA in a hospital setting is required for a PRN/as needed position.
Medical Terminology preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
Minnesota Certified Nurse Assistant certification required upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification required within 6 months of hire.

Work Schedule

PRN, as needed, casual requirements per department policy
- Weekends as needed, holidays as needed, occasional call
- 6:45am-7:15pm or 6:45pm-7:15am

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$18.25 - $24.00 per hour
