St. Luke’s Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician to work out of our Tarpon Springs location.

About the Position
Our ideal candidate is comfortable providing clinical skills to each patient, creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being. The patient care tech has procedural skills within the scope of practice and is able to document the patient’s experience.

What do we look for?
Ability to provide basic support to PA-C/APRN and other clinical personnel with regard to the care and treatment of patients
Obtain and interpret vital signs, including blood sugar levels
Administrative functions, including maintenance and order of medical supply inventory and clerical/data entry assistance
Communicate with other physicians’ offices to obtain medical/cardiac clearances and medical records
Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Assist with wheel chair transport
Qualifications / Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalency is required
PCT certification is recommended
One year patient care experience preferable in a clinical setting
Must be mobile; walking, sitting, standing, bending and stretching
Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
