Gemma Services - Martin Luther School, an Approved Private School, located on a picturesque 36-acre campus in Plymouth Meeting, provides a comprehensive program for students who need emotional support. Our school is designed to allow our students to confidently engage in personalized, purposeful learning, joyfully celebrate individual and collective success, and respectfully challenge self and others to grow. Our mission is to instruct the mind, engage the heart, and empower the will. We use a holistic educational approach to address the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The focus of this position is to provide the following:

• Lesson Design and Delivery:
• Create and implement engaging outdoor education lessons that align with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards.
• Focus on themes such as environmental sustainability, farming practices, and outdoor skills.
• Hands-On Activities:
• Lead interactive activities including hikes, nature walks, plant and animal identification, and ropes courses.
• Incorporate farming practices into educational experiences.
• Student Engagement:
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Promote teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship.
• Safety and Supervision:
• Ensure student safety and well-being during all outdoor activities.
• Provide clear instructions and maintain supervision at all times.

Qualifications:

• Experience in outdoor education, environmental science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of PDE standards for environmental and outdoor education.
• Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and stewardship.
