Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Host & Specialist page is loaded## Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Host & Specialistlocations: VA, Portsmouthtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: REQ-38365**Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Host & Specialist**WAVY-TV is seeking an experienced Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) streaming specialist to handle hosting, producing, switching, editing, and uploading of video content, and becoming the in-house expert on CTV video distribution for our local media team. This person will provide content for our market, which includes Portsmouth/Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA.**Responsibilities:**- Provide "one man band" hosting, producing, switching, editing and uploading for daily and special project video content via OBS.- Become the in-house expert for CTV video distribution, including live hosted video in both unedited and breaking news formats.- Set up interviews, gather factual information, needed b-roll and visual elements and prepare show rundowns or scripts as needed.- Develop OBS scene collections and work with graphics teams to help align production branding.- Track show metrics to identify high value formats and opportunities for new programming.- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders in our newsroom to build awareness of our resources.- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks both live on-stream and behind the scenes to include troubleshooting challenges as they arise.- Interest in/willingness to learn and understand the IT and engineering elements of a successful livestream setup.- Desire to experiment and innovate in an evolving digital space while maintaining professionalism and journalistic principles.- High level attention to detail required to ensure polished OBS-driven products.- Basic understanding of camera settings, studio lighting, and audio processing.**Skill/Experience Requirements:** - 3-5 years of experience in video production with extensive on-camera experience and proven technical problem-solving skills.- 2-3 years of experience working with OBS or similar streaming software.- Self-starting demeanor with an ability to spot opportunities to capture audiences in a streaming format.- Solid foundation in journalism ethics on issues such as copyright and attribution.- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team format or as an individual contributor.- The position is based in Portsmouth, VA and requires a physical presence to function in the role.**Please remember to upload a copy of your** ***resume*** **and** ***include a link*** ***to your work*****.****Please apply** **online at** .**No calls.****EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability****#LI-Onsite**
