Description:

Main Purpose:

To nest parts to be cut by the Burning Machines, And to Coordinate Burning activities in the Plate Shop.

Essential Functions:

• Nesting Piece Marked Plates form the Lofting Department
• Make sure that all parts are cut from the correct material
• Make sure that all piece markings are on the corresponding pieces when cut
• Make sure that daily maintenance records are kept on all NC Burning Machines
• Make sure that all maintenance is completed on all NC Burning Machines Daily
• Keeps records of plate inventors
• Performs Overhead Crane inspections in the Plate Shop
• Make sure that all cut parts are distributed to the correct job site
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
• Turning, twisting, bending, and balancing
• Pushing, pulling and reaching
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check

Desirable Experience/Training:

• Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of Cutting Machines and Computer Knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Floor Jack
• Hand torch
• Grinder
• Tape Measure
• Straight Edge
• Square
• Forklift experience a plus

Environmental Conditions

80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc.
