The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center is looking to hire a Non-Student Short Term Casual to work in the laboratory of Dr. Juan Manuel Schvartzman. The candidate will provide support to the Principal Investigator and other lab investigators, as needed.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:  

  • Cloning of CRISPR and overexpression constructs
  • Generation of retroviral and lentiviral vectors for transduction of mammalian cells
  • Cell culture includes counting, plating, and passaging of mammalian cells
  • Western blotting to examine protein expression
  • Chromatin assays including ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, and CUT&TAG

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalency
