Position: Pharmacy Technician - Non-Sterile Compounding
-Weekend and late-night work may be required.
Summary:
Revive Rx Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician specializing in Non-Sterile Compounding to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, contributing to the preparation and compounding of customized medications. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards and ensuring the safe handling and preparation of non-sterile compounded products under the supervision of our experienced pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately compound non-sterile medications according to detailed formulas and specifications.
Maintain compliance with USP 795 regulations for non-sterile compounding.
Safely handle and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring all materials are stored and used appropriately.
Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals and supplies required for non-sterile compounding.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality to support operational needs.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Uphold high standards of quality in all compounding activities, regularly reviewing processes for potential improvements.
Gain familiarity with compounding procedures and products used in various pharmacy departments.
Perform additional duties as needed to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Licensing: Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing Pharmacy Continuing Education.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with experience in non-sterile compounding preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in using internet, email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Familiarity with pharmacy management software and a willingness to undergo ongoing training.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Capacity to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Close vision and focus adjustment capabilities are required.
Work Schedule:
Full-time Shift
2:00pm to 11:00pm
