Vice President of Marketing

Overview
The Vice President of Marketing will lead all marketing, fan engagement, and game-day experience initiatives for the Mavericks, an independent baseball League. This role is ideal for a seasoned marketing executive with minor league or independent league sports experience who is passionate about building community connections and elevating the in-game fan experience to drive attendance, retention, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the organization’s primary public representative, including speaking engagements, and building relationships with local stakeholders.
- Actively participate in and lead community events, partnerships, and outreach programs to strengthen the Mavericks’ role as a community asset.
- Oversee stadium operations related to fan experience, including concessions, merchandise, entertainment, and in-game promotions.
- Manage the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation (including termination when necessary) of seasonal game-day staff.
- Drive continuous improvement of the game-day experience through fan feedback, innovative promotions, and enhanced engagement activities.
- Collaborate with ticket sales, sponsorship, and operations teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of growing attendance and fan engagement in a sports or entertainment environment.
- Experience managing seasonal staff and game-day operations.
- Excellent public speaking and media relations skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management abilities.
- Passion for community involvement.
