Job Description
Description The Marketing Manager collaborates with the Head of Marketing, Sales and Operations to develop and implement strategies that support a results-driven culture and a superior and unique customer experience, while ensuring all initiatives comply with state laws, regulations and local ordinances. This role will emphasize brand messaging via marketing, advertising and promotional activities, while ensuring relevant metrics are measured, benchmarks met, staff performance enhanced, and managed communities enriched through assigned goals and objectives. High performers are able to build and maximize awareness, and long-term relationships, while serving as a trusted advisor to business partners and retailers alike.
Responsibilities: - Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
- Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently.
- Plan and execute campaigns for launching new products, product lines.
- Support for Tradeshow and/or retail events with sales team and tradeshow agency (as appropriate).
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns to help meet sales objectives and drive revenue.
- Manage marketing vendors, spending and budgets to support consistent value-add.
- Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
- Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
- Develop email and digital marketing campaigns to support lead nurturing and generation.
- Conduct general market and competitor research to keep abreast of trends and competitor movement.
- Drive traffic to our events and tradeshow booths by preparing and executing event emails to prospects & customers.
- Measure performance of marketing activities using Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
- Develop online/print ads and publications & update website content when necessary.
- Working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all marketing campaigns, communications, including trade marketing, digital, print, and video assets.
- Maintain digital asset management system (Tagbox) with up-to-date product images, product and strain descriptions.
- Partner with Jupiter/CAC/SF sales team & Smoore manufacturing on customer specific marketing programs.
- Educate trade, brand, and distributor/broker partners on benefits of all brands.
- Understand state laws and cannabis regulations, and activate national brand programming accordingly.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field.
- 5 years of integrated marketing experience required. Agency experience a plus.
- Cannabis industry experience required. Regulated industry experience (tobacco, alcohol) a plus.
- Proficiency with developing, directing and/or executing online marketing and social media strategies.
- Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns.
- Experience managing large scale projects.
- Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations.
- Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
- Experience in developing and executing integrated new business, cross-sell, upsell, and retention campaigns.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a diverse consumer audience, clients and agency personnel.
- Eagerly accepts new challenges and able to pivot easily based on shifting priorities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical/reporting skills - a metric-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
- Proficient with MS Office and productivity software. Knowledge of Photo Shop and InDesign a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, time management, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: - Travel to markets within assigned territory regularly.
- Complete schedule flexibility and willingness to be available during non-traditional hours.
