**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join our team as a Machine Operator, where you will be responsible for operating advanced machinery including press breaks, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears. You will set up, program, and calibrate machines to ensure they meet product specifications. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues and maintaining quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Operate various machines at an advanced level according to standard operating procedures. + Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems. + Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements. + Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies. + Train and mentor less experienced machine operators. + Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines. + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs and workflows. + Maintain accurate records of production activities and machine performance. + Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols. + Provide continuous improvement suggestions following lean manufacturing guidelines. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably in press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears. + Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. + Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations. + Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. + Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. + Strong leadership abilities, with experience in training and mentoring junior staff. + Commitment to quality control, safety, and continuous improvement. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred. + Experience working with sheet metal, cut, pressed, and punched to strict tolerances. + Proficiency in CNC machine operation and blueprint interpretation. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a competitive salary with medical, dental, and vision insurance. Opportunities for career advancement are available, as we promote internal promotion and provide electric charging stations. **Work Environment** Work in an ADA-compliant environment where you may need to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required. The shift is Monday to Thursday from 3 pm to 1:30 am with a 10% shift differential for hours worked during the second shift. Initial training will occur on the first shift to ensure an understanding of the machines and processes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
