Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician specializing in CCTV to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems with a focus on Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. This role requires a solid understanding of low voltage electrical systems, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of CCTV Systems:

    • Install CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, monitors, and other related equipment.
    • Ensure proper mounting and positioning of cameras for optimal coverage.
    • Run, pull, and terminate various types of cables (coaxial, CAT5/6, fiber optics) necessary for CCTV system installations.
  • System Configuration and Integration:

    • Configure and program DVR/NVR systems, cameras, and related software.
    • Integrate CCTV systems with other security and access control systems.
    • Perform system testing and verification to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Conduct regular maintenance checks on CCTV systems to ensure they are operating correctly.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with CCTV equipment and systems.
    • Perform firmware and software updates on CCTV systems as needed.
  • Customer Service and Support:

    • Provide technical support and training to customers on the use of CCTV systems.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain clear communication with clients regarding service and installation progress.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems or electronics preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing and maintaining CCTV systems.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV systems.
    • Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and principles.
    • Experience with various types of cabling and wiring techniques.
    • Familiarity with networking concepts and IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
    • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina, such as crawling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
