Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Concept Artist to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Concept Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and imaginative concept art that guides the overall look and feel of our games. You will have a direct impact on the artistic direction and help bring our creative vision to life. Core Responsibilities Create detailed Concept Art for Characters, Environments, Vehicles and Props. Manage the Concept Art pipeline in-house and through external contractors. Collaborate with the Art Director to establish the visual style of the project. Generate quick sketches and detailed illustrations to communicate ideas. Work closely with 3D Artists, Animators, and Designers to ensure concepts are translated into the game. Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and visual directions. Provide feedback and iterate on concepts based on team input. Assist 3D Artists with paint overs to help direct and guide towards stronger designs. Create callout pages of real-world reference for materials and construction of assets. Stay current with industry trends and techniques in concept art. Core Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Concept Art within the video game industry. Strong proficiency in Photoshop and other digital painting tools. Excellent understanding of color, composition, and perspective. Ability to create both stylized and realistic artwork. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of concept art styles and subjects. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Plus if... Experience with 3D software like Blender or Maya. Knowledge of traditional art techniques and mediums. Previous work on AAA titles or in a similar creative industry. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
