About Us :
Founded more than 15 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 450 people operating throughout North America and in Europe. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Role Overview :
You will join an established relative value desk as a Junior Trader. You will be exposed to every aspect of the group's activity; technology, quantitative modelling and relationships within the industry. The role will start with learning how the business operates and staffing the trade desk during market hours when senior traders cannot be fully present. More responsibility will be designated as you continue to grow your skills.

Responsibilities:

• Work side by side with senior traders
• Learn about proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
• Real-time risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffs
• Build and maintain trading models
• Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities

Requirements:

• Expected to graduate with a degree by Spring 2025
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Detail oriented, organized and diligent
• Strong understanding of math, probability and statistics
• Proficient with Excel and VBA
• Programming experience is a plus
• Advanced aptitude for problem solving and multitasking

Annual compensation range: $70K - $80K + discretionary bonus eligibility
