Our client, HCLTech, is seeking a Jira Administrator / Enterprise Application & IT Operations Specialist to join our onsite team in Santa Clara, CA. This role serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jira administration and other enterprise applications, supporting core IT operations . The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing SaaS platforms like Jira, SharePoint, and OneDrive , with a strong understanding of ITSM practices and infrastructure support. This is a hands-on hybrid role requiring both technical administration and operational ownership to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT services. Key Responsibilities: Jira & Enterprise Application Administration Manage Jira as the primary administrator, including user provisioning, permission schemes, workflows, custom fields, and SSO integrations. Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise applications such as SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, APIs, or other scripting tools. Ensure application stability, access control, and compliance with security and IT policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application rollouts, changes, and upgrades. Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices. IT Operations & Support Manage incident, service request, and change queues via ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms. Support end-user issues and ensure timely resolution per SLA expectations. Oversee local IT assets and coordinate with global Asset and Configuration Management teams. Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and access provisioning. Perform proactive health checks, system maintenance, and patch management in collaboration with infrastructure teams. Apply ITIL best practices for ticket handling, escalation, and change management. Identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and process efficiency. Qualifications: 5+ years in enterprise application support and/or IT operations roles. Hands-on Jira administration experience (Jira Software / Jira Service Management). Proficiency with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. Experience with PowerShell, API integrations, and JSON/XML configurations. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, change, and asset management. Experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Preferred Qualifications: Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or relevant certification. ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification. Microsoft 365 certification (optional but beneficial).
