JOB TITLE: Hospitalist for Research
SPECIALTY: Internal Medicine / Hospital Medicine
LOCATION: Kansas City, KS
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (almost no call)
COMPENSATION: $230,000–$250,000 base plus bonus after year one

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Conduct pre-study physicals, review medical histories, labs, and ECGs to screen healthy study volunteers

• Perform light daily rounds onsite — no hospital chaos, no high-acuity patients

• Provide occasional emergency care if needed (rare)

• Keep tidy, accurate electronic documentation — no endless chart chasing

• Maintain BLS, ACLS, medical license, and board certification

• Be a trusted team player and uphold the highest ethical standards in research

• Communicate comfortably with staff, sponsors, and partners — all in a supportive, collaborative environment

WHAT YOU NEED:

• MD or DO from an accredited program

• Active, unrestricted medical license (any state)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

• Minimum 5 years of real-world clinical experience —  no new grads, please

• Active DEA license

• A genuine interest in something new — no research experience required

• Good communicator, team mindset, and basic comfort with tech
