Calling All Future Sports & Events Professionals!

Are you looking to break into the world of sports management, event coordination, or youth programming? Do you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, our Program Coordinator Internship (Fall, Winter, Spring) or Assistant Summer Camp Director Internship might be the perfect fit for you!

This is your chance to gain real-world experience while making a difference in our exciting sports programs. PLUS, there’s opportunity for paid work if you’re interested in coaching, scorekeeping, or helping with birthday parties (pending open positions and fit).

Internship Options:

Fall, Winter, Spring Semesters – Program Coordinator Intern

Summer – Assistant Summer Camp Director Intern

Program Coordinator Internship (Fall, Winter, Spring Semesters)

Youth Programs & Leagues Duties:

• Communicate with parents via text, email, or phone about registrations & inquiries.
• Assist with set-up, clean-up, and coaching for youth classes (rotating sports weekly).
• Capture amazing moments for social media & submit content to management.
• Interact with children & parents to create a welcoming and positive experience.

Adult Leagues:

• Keep league participants informed on schedules, rosters, and payments.
• Assist with game set-up and closing procedures, including cleaning duties.
• Learn how to score-keep for multiple sports.
• Film and submit videos for our YouTube channel.
• Create an awesome atmosphere by engaging with league participants.

Events:

• Choose 3 events to help plan, schedule, and oversee during your internship.
• Work a shift at each event and be part of the action!
• Provide post-event feedback on successes & areas for improvement.

Assistant Summer Camp Director Internship (Summer Only)

As an Assistant Summer Camp Director, you’ll step into a leadership role, helping run our action-packed sports camps while gaining hands-on experience in youth programming and event management.

Duties include:

Assisting with daily camp operations, scheduling, and program planning.

Communicating with parents, staff, and campers to ensure a smooth experience.

Capturing camp highlights for social media & marketing.

Leading by example with energy, enthusiasm, and organization - yes, you'll get out there on the fields jumping into camp games!

Internship Details:

L ocation: The Dulles Sportsplex, 21610 Atlantic Blvd, Sterling, VA 21066

Unpaid, BUT: Potential paid work available (coaching, scorekeeping, or serving birthday parties).

Flexible scheduling around your goals with no min or max hours each week.
